Beachwood Center for Wellbeing | Wellington, Florida
Twelve miles west of Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida, Beachwood is opening its first center outside of Rhode Island.
During the winter season Wellington’s population grows to 15,000 top horses from all over the world, competing in one of three stadiums for jumping, dressage, and polo.
If you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, or PTSD, it’s a perfect venue to come for a 3-day or 6-day intensive therapy program. Combining your own work with horse shows is for many a magic combination. Make no mistake; this is serious integrative equine therapy backed by verified case studies.
On Mondays, we also run two group programs: one for veterans and one for veteran caregivers (wives and family). These programs have really taken off, thanks to the word of mouth among the Elizabeth Dole Foundation caregivers.
On a lighter note, in RI, we were surprised to find senior executives and several celebrities among our clients, coming in, as one of called it, “for a re-stabilization.” It’s a smart idea: dealing with stress and anxiety before they manifest as physical illness.
Greater Palm Beach sounds expensive, and some of it certainly is. But we have access to accommodations ranging from $950 down to $87; the last is one of the best deals in South Florida.
You can dine on the same scale after seeing the daughters of Bruce Springsteen, Steve Jobs, Michael Bloomberg, and Bill Gates compete in show jumping. Herme’s may be a major sponsor of the Equestrian Festival ($8,000 for a saddle) but it is not necessary to spend on that level, not even close. You may even have the advantage: health beats wealth every time.
